My name is Ashley Ellis, I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern ( MFTI) # 71793, specializing in individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide variety of psychological, behavioral, and relational problems. Some of these problems may include:Depression, Anxiety, Couples Counseling, Work and Career issues, Educational Services, Stress Management, Addiction & Recovery, and Grief & Loss. In my Pasadena private practice, I strive to create a safe, caring and supportive environment combined with a humanistic theraputic approach. My clients and I work togther to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

What is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern?
Marriage and Family Therapy Interns are relationship specialists who treat persons involved in interpersonal relationships. They are trained to assess, diagnose and treat individuals, couples, families and groups to achieve more adequate, satisfying and productive marriage, family and social adjustment. The practice includes premarital counseling, adolescent counseling, divorce or separation counseling, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety along with other relationship counseling. Marriage and Family Therapy Interns are mental Health Practitioners that are not yet licensed by the State of California. They are post masters graduates working on their completion of at least 3,000 hours of supervised experience, and passage of comprehensive State examinations.
